“Somatic Yoga has introduced me to a different way of moving my body; it’s a whole new world! The classes are taken slowly, step-by-step, unpacking each movement and then bringing it all together. Natalie’s careful instruction makes the movements easy to follow. She teaches with great care and warmth, explaining each movement patiently and often with a gentle sense of humour. All of this after only a few classes, I’m so looking forward to the next season.”

“Yoga with Nat has been noticeably beneficial for both my physical and emotional well-being. I feel more connected to my body and mind and more aware of my muscles and breathing. It is a bit like having a date with my body each Monday where I feel grateful for how it moves and feel I am taking care of it and listening to what it has to say. I have also really enjoyed how Nat explains the movements and the rationale behind what we are doing. She is supportive and truly individualises the practice; helping me to find alternative movements which better suited a weakness in my shoulder blades. Nat and Somatic yoga have definitely improved my quality of life and I look forward to more classes.”

“I have tried yoga at various points in the past but felt it never really suited me. However, yoga with Natalie turns out to be the exception. I throughly enjoyed practice with Natalie from the very beginning. I now hate the thought of missing my class. I am stronger and get great satisfaction from improving what I can do. Natalie is a born teacher. She communicates effectively, is non-judgemental, has good humour, patience and common sense. She makes yoga accessible. I feel really lucky to have the opportunity to attend her classes and recommend her unreservedly.”

“Natalie is an attentive instructor who is professional, inspiring, supportive and encouraging. Her knowledge and sense of humour fill her classes with positive energy, and yet a sense of calm and well-being prevails. She makes adjustments kindly and accurately, creating a relaxed and enjoyable environment in which to learn. My return to yoga practice with her has positively affected both my physical and mental well-being.”

“It’s a joy being in the room with Natalie. She is warm and inclusive and creates an atmosphere that is as lighthearted as it is calm and focused. It’s a bad habit of mine to drift during practice and Natalie’s teaching style really works to steady that; she’s patient and exceptionally sharp- she notices everything! The best part of being in a class with Natalie is how incredibly easy it is to follow her voice, she makes the practice of each asana sound both light and intuitive.”

“I was extremely apprehensive about starting yoga classes but Natalie's encouraging and compassionate teaching style has meant that I have felt at completely at ease and have enjoyed her classes immensely. She has a wonderful calming influence on her students and I really appreciate how she takes time to explain some of the background to yoga practice. I always come away from Natalie's class feeling grounded and relaxed.”

“I have been to various yoga classes over the years but never felt I got all that much out of it until I did Natalie's beginners' Ashtanga course. The difference was, Natalie's teaching method is really thorough - going over each posture in great detail to ensure they are learned correctly. I felt very comfortable in the class and never felt pressurised into doing anything that wasn't right for me. I would definitely recommend Natalie as a yoga teacher to anyone.”

“Natalie's classes are great. She is really wonderful at incorporating yoga philosophy into a class that leaves you feeling stretched and strong. She offers a wide variety of options to suit your body depending on how you are feeling that day and varies the asanas in each class, showing not only her knowledge of human anatomy, but also her yoga expertise. I feel like I learn something new every time I attend one of her classes.”

“I initially thought Yoga was not for me … too little movement and too soul centred. But a friend recommended Natalie’s yoga classes, and I gave it a go. I have to admit – me and yoga did not get on immediately – but I quickly warmed to the whole experience thanks to Natalies teaching. Natalie is very good at describing the moves (she knows her “stuff” incredibly well) – every week a little detailed description is added.. and it’s those small corrections that makes it feel a little bit better every time. And then there is the whole mindful-ness….. well … that, I thought, is not me either … but again – with great skill Natalie made that side of the yoga experience not just work for me too, but feel great. Perhaps it’s the fact that its not overdosed – or perhaps it’s the fact that Natalie adds lots of common sense that makes it easier for me to take in. I totally loose all the thoughts of what I URGENTLY NEED to do, or what I haven’t done …. In fact the “to-do-list” simply disappears – all there is left is the focus on my body and mind…… I found is incredibly soothing mentally (and I had no idea it felt that great!). The biggest surprise to me is that my body actually tones up – I simply cannot believe that those simple exercises makes such a big difference in firming my old body. I have to admit – little moves and soul focus is great when presented with skill.”

“My name is Evi Kydonaki, I'm Greek, 50 years old and I've been practicing yoga asanas for about 12 years on an 'on and off' basis both in Greece and in India. I'm a licensed yoga teacher but I have chosen not to teach preferring to remain an eternal student. During these 12 years I had the chance to meet more than a 100 teachers, and this is not an exaggerated number. In the Sivananda ashram where I spend around 5 months each year teachers are different every day. I was very lucky to drop in one of Natalie's classes and after that I was literally chasing her to find out when was her next class. I felt that her class had an integrity and wholeness with a perfect sense of rhythm and an excellent flow. Natalie while in class has an amazing self-confidence, a clear, clean voice, perfect articulation. She combines correct soft adjustments to postures without losing the flow. Although she was limited by the 'Sivananda yoga' she managed to insert asanas that were preparing for and/or adding to the basic Sivananda series. She is definitely very knowledgeable and seems quite experienced knowing exactly what she is talking about and knowing exactly what she asks from her students. Her class is a combination of the physical and the spiritual aspect of yoga asanas. In other words it's an absolute delight leaving you... just happy!!! Definitely she deserves a place in my TOP 5... Don't miss her.”

I really enjoy Natalie's yoga classes. It's difficult to find a teacher who weaves a good balance between the spiritual side of yoga with a physical practice tailored to each student's needs, and I find Natalie does this beautifully. She teaches with kindness, knowledge, humour, and confidence, and I would not hesitate to recommend her!

I am a beginner in Ashtanga Yoga and I have been taught by a variety of teachers, but ultimately you find a style of teaching that you work best with. I enjoy Natalie’s classes because she gets to know everyone individually and is constantly aware of everyone and their needs during the practice. As well as guiding the class through the practice of Ashtanga she also is aware of people’s physical constraints and tailors the practice to your body. It is a personal preference of what style of teaching meshes well with you, but I find Natalie’s teaching personable, knowledgeable and direct.
